INDIA - Faizabad
The Education for Life school teaches 120 students from leprosy-affected backgrounds in courses such as Tailoring, Diesel Mechanics, and Computing.
Graduates receive a small business loan to buy equipment and start their own business in the local community, which dispels the stigma that usually accompanies leprosy.

NEPAL -Terai
Works in the Bara District of Terai in Southern Nepal to enable leprosy affected people,
people with physical disabilities as well as people who are marginalised or are dalits, to empower themselves and have
a significantly improved social economic environment. |

ETHIOPIA - Addis Ababa and Rift Valley
The “Zenbe Work” Project in Addis Ababa aims to provide 400 children with access to job
training for future employment by the end of 2006. In the remote leprosy settlement of Rift Valley, access to education is even more critical, and more economic opportunities are needed in this dry and arid region.

BANGLADESH - Chittagong
Works in Chittagong city as well as the incredibly impoverished and often violent Hill Tracts region to integrate leprosy treatment into the mainstream government health programmes as well as setting up people disabled by leprosy with small business opportunities.

INDIA - Muzaffarpur
Women’s empowerment is attained through self help groups, literacy classes, and
micro enterprise. Micro credit is available through savings and loans groups and increased health services, especially before and after birth care, in order to alleviate the chronic poverty and poor general health found in Muzaffarpur.

SUDAN - Khartoum
The Mayo district of Khartoum is home to a settlement of around 50 families affected by leprosy who have fled the violent Darfur conflict. As they were rejected from the other refugee camps, the programme funds work to provide housing, sanitation and health education.
